We, the residents of Tandalja, submit this petition through the Tandalja Development Council to express our serious concern and strong objection to the recent closure of the main entry and exit road to the Tandalja area near Rajvee Tower, which connects directly to Old Padra (O.P.) Road.

This road has been in continuous use for several decades and serves as a crucial access route for thousands of people living in and around Tandalja. Its sudden closure—without any prior notice, consultation, or official communication—has caused daily inconvenience, frustration, and disruption to the lives of local residents.

Over a year ago, we requested that a traffic signal be installed at this location to ease traffic flow. A survey was even conducted. However, no follow-up action has been taken, and now the road has been blocked entirely. We believe this is an unfair and shortsighted solution.

Additionally, ongoing flyover construction on adjacent Vasna Road is already causing heavy congestion. Blocking this critical road at the same time is creating a major bottleneck during peak hours, leading to long traffic jams, delays, and unnecessary stress for thousands of commuters. This decision is affecting everyone in terms of lost time, increased fuel costs, and daily frustration.

We fully understand the need for traffic regulation, but punishing the entire community for the actions of a few is not the right approach. Violations should be addressed through proper enforcement, not blanket restrictions.

We, the undersigned residents, demand the following:

1. Immediate reopening of the main Tandalja entry/exit road near Rajvee Tower.

2. Installation of a traffic signal at the junction as previously requested and surveyed.

3. Deployment of traffic personnel or proper monitoring to ensure smooth and safe movement.

We urge the Vadodara Police Commissioner to take immediate action in the interest of the public and bring relief to thousands of citizens who are being unfairly affected by this closure.
