Hello everyone

In this update I wanted to share a few things:

1. Meeting minutes and video of both June 14th and 18th that are in process of getting uploaded to YouTube (check here). Previous meetings in this channel here.
   • Unlike MHUSD’s website, where videos are deleted after 30 days, downloading and sharing them publicly ensures perpetual accessibility and transparency. This transparency empowers the community to verify that the minute notes accurately reflect the meeting discussions, addressing past discrepancies.
2. A summarize list of all employee departures
   • Over the past three years, nearly 70% turnover of executive and leadership employees have left during Dr. Garcia’s tenure as superintendent. This high turnover rate signals a toxic culture and sets a concerning trajectory for the district, ultimately negatively affecting our children’s education.
3. Both Budget Advisory Committee application and Measure G Oversight Committee application are open.
4. As we celebrate the birth of our nation tomorrow and approach the November election, we face a critical test for our democracy. Our elected officials represent us—they are elected by the majority, a testament to our collective voice and power for change. We must never relinquish this right. In context of our local politics, we have three board seats up for elections. And even in the rare event of board members midterm departure, appointing a replacement is never the answer. Let us always uphold fair elections to select our representatives.
