Double Header on Masonic Development This Week

As HPRB and DC Superior Court Call Hearings

GAME 1: The Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) will hold a hearing on the subdivision of the Mason’s record lot on Thursday and the DC Superior Court has called a scheduling hearing on Friday. Please check your calendar and plan to attend and offer testimony if you can.

What: The HPRB hearing on the Masonic subdivision

Where: 441 4th St NW (Metro red line opens in front of bldg.)

When: Thursday Sept 26, 11-11:45 am

If any are interested in testifying, let's coordinate our remarks.

Dupont East Civic Action Association (DECAA) has submitted remarks and encourage neighbors to offer oral testimony. Review the DECAA statement, attached, and let us know first if you are available, and if you know people who will help us fill up the hearing room.

We can meet with you individually. You can prepare your own remarks - no law against repetition - say what you feel comfortable saying. It’s always better to speak than to read. speakers are limited to 3 minutes usually.

GAME 2: DECAA also filed a lawsuit against the city following the adverse ruling from HPRB on May 23. That lawsuit is coming up for a scheduling hearing on Friday and here again DECAA is looking to fill the court room with neighbors affected by the case.
