PETICIÓN CIUDADANA
¡BASTA YA! RECUPEREMOS LOS CRISTIANOS
Petición ciudadana por la seguridad, la convivencia y la recuperación de nuestro entorno.
A la atención del Concejal de Seguridad y Policía del Ayuntamiento de Arona

Asunto: Situación insostenible de ocupación ilegal y degradación del entorno urbano en Los Cristianos (municipio de Arona).
La presente petición está dirigida a todas las personas que se sientan preocupadas por esta situación y deseen apoyar esta iniciativa.
Está abierta a todos los habitantes de la isla de Tenerife y de Canarias, especialmente a los vecinos del centro de Los Cristianos y a quienes residen en los complejos Parque Tropical I y II, La Graciosa I, II y III, así como en las urbanizaciones y viviendas situadas frente al terreno afectado y en la ladera que rodea dicha parcela.
Todas las firmas serán bienvenidas con el fin de trasladar una petición firme y conjunta al Cabildo de Tenerife, al Ayuntamiento de Arona y a todas las administraciones y organismos con capacidad de actuación, solicitando que se adopten las medidas necesarias para poner fin a esta situación lo antes posible.
Desde hace años, observamos cómo un terreno situado frente a nuestras viviendas está siendo ocupado de forma progresiva por un número creciente de personas que viven en tiendas de campaña, caravanas y construcciones precarias.
Esta ocupación, claramente ilegal, no ha dejado de expandirse, transformándose poco a poco en un asentamiento descontrolado que deteriora gravemente la calidad de vida de toda la zona.
Nos encontramos en una zona residencial que siempre se ha caracterizado por su tranquilidad y seguridad. Sin embargo, la situación actual ha generado un entorno de inseguridad creciente.
Se han observado intentos de robo de vehículos y scooters, movimientos sospechosos y una degradación evidente del entorno.
Hoy en día, muchos vecinos ya no se sienten seguros en sus propios hogares.
Cabe señalar, además, que el Ayuntamiento no puede alegar desconocimiento de esta situación, ya que ha recibido múltiples quejas por parte de los residentes de los complejos residenciales y ha sido igualmente testigo de varios incendios reiterados en la zona de la montaña, los cuales suponen un grave riesgo para la seguridad de los vecinos y del entorno.
Consideramos inadmisible que, en pleno núcleo urbano de Los Cristianos, se permita el deterioro de un entorno residencial consolidado, afectando no solo a la seguridad y bienestar de los vecinos, sino también al valor de nuestras propiedades.
Esta situación está provocando una clara desvalorización inmobiliaria y disuadiendo a potenciales compradores, lo que perjudica gravemente a todos los residentes.
A esta situación se suma la incomprensible inacción de las autoridades municipales.
Tenemos constancia de que el Ayuntamiento de Arona es plenamente consciente de lo que está ocurriendo y, sin embargo, no se han tomado medidas eficaces para poner fin a esta ocupación ilegal ni al estacionamiento masivo de caravanas en la zona, lo cual agrava aún más el problema.
Por todo lo anterior, solicitamos de manera urgente:
1-Una explicación clara por parte de las autoridades sobre la falta de actuación.
2-La inmediata intervención, en su caso, para el desalojo completo del terreno ocupado.
3-La aplicación efectiva de la normativa vigente.
4-La restitución de la seguridad y tranquilidad.
No entendemos qué intereses pueden justificar esta pasividad.
Exigimos actuación urgente.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! LET'S RECLAIM LOS CRISTIANOS
Citizen petition for safety, community coexistence, and the recovery of our environment.
Attention: Councillor for Security and Police of the Arona Town Council

Subject: Unsustainable situation of illegal occupation and urban degradation in Los Cristianos (Municipality of Arona).
This petition is addressed to all individuals who are concerned about this situation and wish to support this initiative.
It is open to all residents of the island of Tenerife and of the Canary Islands, especially to residents of central Los Cristianos and to those living in the residential complexes Parque Tropical I and II, La Graciosa I, II and III, as well as in the housing developments and homes located opposite the affected plot and on the hillside surrounding it.
All signatures are welcome in order to present a strong and united request to the Tenerife Island Council, the Arona Town Council, and all public authorities and institutions with the power to act, urging them to adopt the necessary measures to bring this situation to an end as soon as possible.
For years, we have witnessed how a plot of land located opposite our homes has been progressively occupied by an increasing number of people living in tents, caravans, and makeshift structures.
This occupation, which is clearly illegal, has continued to expand and has gradually evolved into an uncontrolled settlement that is seriously deteriorating the quality of life throughout the area.
We live in a residential area that has always been known for its tranquillity and safety. However, the current situation has created an environment of growing insecurity.
There have been observed attempts to steal vehicles and scooters, suspicious movements, and a clear deterioration of the surrounding environment.
Today, many residents no longer feel safe in their own homes.
It should also be noted that the Town Council cannot claim to be unaware of this situation, as it has received numerous complaints from residents of the surrounding residential complexes and has also witnessed several recurring fires on the hillside, which pose a serious risk to the safety of residents and to the surrounding environment.
We consider it unacceptable that, in the heart of Los Cristianos' urban area, the deterioration of an established residential environment is being allowed to continue, affecting not only the safety and well-being of residents but also the value of our properties.
This situation is causing a clear decline in property values and discouraging potential buyers, thereby seriously harming all residents.
Adding to this problem is the incomprehensible inaction of the municipal authorities.
We are aware that the Arona Town Council is fully informed of what is happening and yet no effective measures have been taken to put an end to this illegal occupation or to the large-scale parking of caravans in the area, which further aggravates the problem.
For all the reasons set out above, we urgently request:
1- A clear explanation from the authorities regarding the lack of action.
2- Immediate intervention, where legally applicable, to ensure the complete evacuation of the occupied land.
3- Effective enforcement of the legislation currently in force.
4- The restoration of safety and peace of mind.
We do not understand what interests could possibly justify such passivity.
We demand urgent action.
