1000 people mainly from Kiltimagh and the surrounding area signed the Kiltimagh Greenway petition many of you have already made a submission on the new regional strategies, so thank you. Those that have not yet got around to it well here is a simple way of doing it:
The deadline for submissions is February 8th. Imagine if all 1000 petitioners who signed this petition did it. Just a quick email. What would happen? Would we be ignored? Why not give it a try. Send an email to rses@nwra.ie by Feb 8th and say this: (of course add your own views as well if you want)

The new draft RSES should include plans for a greenway on the closed railway from Athenry to Collooney in order to protect the route in public ownership. This would be a massive boost to tourism along the Atlantic Economic Corridor especially for East Mayo. Tourism is one of our biggest employers. The closed railway is highly unlikely to re-open. A greenway will protect the route forever just in case the railway ever becomes possible. Please build this idea into the new Regional Strategies. Thank you.
