Latest greenway developments in Mayo
Sometime ago you signed the petition for a greenway on the closed railway from Swinford to Charlestown; Thank you. You may know for some absurd reason Mayo county council still refuses to back this idea, preferring to support a velo-rail on the closed railway at Kiltimagh. Mayo coco have been told the velo-rail now needs planning permission by An Bord Pleanala. We have a new petition asking Mayo coco to listen to the people of East Mayo that want a greenway on the entire route from Charlestown to Claremorris and on towards Galway. The new petition asks Mayo coco to put a greenway on the closed railway next to the velorail route, this would support our idea for a greenway the whole way from Sligo to Athenry.
