Thank you so much everyone for all your actions so far. It has bought me slightly more time, and every single minute with my son is very precious.
But I've been told that this time is in preparation for me to get my things together and leave Australia. I was advised that I won’t be able to come back for 3 years as I have been holding a bridging visa E for many years while waiting for the result of ministerial intervention application.
It means, if we leave Australia, there’s no guarantee that I can see, kiss and hug my son for 3 years. I can’t let that happen :’(. .. and I’m sure all mothers won’t let that happen.
Please can you call call Assistant Home Affairs Minister Alex Hawke's office and ask him not to separate a mother from her young Australian-born son who deserves to have a mother like everyone else.
Kindly Call him on 02 6277 4430. We still need your continuing support guys.. :-(
I completely understand my son’s pain. He’s been trying to be brave in front of me. But at night time, he would ask me if he could sleep on my tummy while he prays. He goes, “ Dear Jesus, please keep my family together, forever.” He holds my hand every night as if I’m going to disappear the next day. :’(
My girls are experiencing distress and trauma as well, and my eldest is worried we will be sent back to Philippines on her 14th birthday. :’(
It’s because of all your love and uniting as one that gives me more courage to fight for my family.
We will not give up until they hear us. I have learned to love this country already because of the people who embraced and appreciated my family.
Sincerely thanking you with all my heart.
Bernadette
