Thank you SO much from the bottom of our hearts signing and taking action. The pressure has worked...for now.
In my meeting yesterday, I was given another bridging visa...but only until 24 May.
That means I get to spend Mothers' Day with my beautiful Australian-born 8-year-old son. He'd even written me an early Mothers' Day card - in case I was detained and deported in my meeting.
But, unless Assistant Home Affairs Minister Alex Hawke acts urgently, this will be the last Mothers Day I will spend with him.
I am sincerely asking for a little favour -- if you can e-mail Assistant Home Affairs Minister Alex Hawke, to reconsider our case for my son. My son does not deserve this. :’(
Email him at: alex.hawke.mp@aph.gov.au
I love my work as an Assistant Nurse. They’re like my extended family. I love this country.
I love my son more than life itself and my two gorgeous daughters. Most of all, I love my family. It’s not easy being a Dad and a Mum at the same time. It takes a sacrificial love raising them on my own.
The agony I’m carrying at the moment is unbearable. Thinking that my son would be left behind and be separated from us is beyond pain. But staying strong is my only choice.
I am so overwhelmed with all your support. Thank you is not enough. God bless us all.
Bernadette
