The meeting seemed like an attempt to get me to stop hassling them. Police refuse to recognise the officers involved in the investigation, and those who wrote reports don't understand the law, as the polices own solicitor pointed out. They say the Crime and Corruption Committee have overseen police investigations, but refuse to agree with the findings of the Parliamentary Inspector to the CCC, who pointed out where both the Police and CCC failed me in their roles. Outrageously it was suggested that if police had a better prosecutor I could have been convicted. It was implied the success of my defense was directly related to the cost of my lawyer. To me this shows police are not willing to objectively look at the case and more disappointing, they believe I was guilty and was lucky to "get off". It's hard to get justice with this sort of attitude. I'll keep plugging away...
