James doesn’t have a boat for fancy fishing trips, a ski cabin to lend, or millions of dollars

It is not surprising that people are corrupt.  Most people, if left to their own devices, will do unsavory things to gain advantage at the expense of others.  The issue at hand is that the NDHSAA CHOOSES to allow it to go on and neglects their duty to enforce the rules of their own constitution.  St. Mary’s openly violates the NDHSAA by-laws by allowing a varsity coach to be the same person working full time to solicit donations from the parents for the “school”.  Of course these people know what they are paying for when they attend the frequent fundraisers.  There’s no amount of magical thinking in the world that would make this in any way legitimate.  It’s an absurd conflict of interest that no ethics minded organization would allow.  It’s an obvious quid pro quo that would make the mafia blush.  It doesn’t matter how good or how bad James is at sports, this is affecting many kids at the school and the NDHSAA lets it continue.  The School is being run like an apartheid state.  James had to step away to save his sanity, but he’s being punished.   No one else.  Stay and have zero rights because you can’t pay for them is not a choice.  Real kids are affected by this every single year at St. Mary’s and have to leave.  They go on to be star players elsewhere, but their parents weren’t rich enough to buy them favor.  The athletics department must not be allowed to be run like a spoils system or a business while a member of a scholastic athletic association.  The NDHSAA has the duty to address this outrage against the integrity of competition.  It’s been said repeatedly that this is the way it’s always been done, but it won’t be done at the expense of James.   Please do everything you can share this your friends and family.  Any justice minded person should be outraged that this sort of thing is allowed to go on in the year 2023.  It doesn’t matter how long it has been this way if it was always WRONG.  The NDHSAA must be asked openly for all to here why they allowed St. Mary’s to operate under their own set of rules free from any oversight or scrutiny?  Why are they allowed to do this to working class people?  Is it because some of the richest, most well connected people in North Dakota send their kids there?  Is that why James doesn’t matter?
