I continue to be absolutely amazed by the response to this petition.
In just a few days, 1,387 people have signed in support of permanently ending landfill operations at the ECCO Quarry Park site - and we are now only 113 signatures away from 1,500!
Thank you to every single person who has signed, shared the petition, commented, contacted elected officials, or simply helped spread the word. Your voices are being heard.
The petition has now received coverage from multiple Calgary news outlets, including a new CityNews story today, and I have received additional interview requests from other media organizations.
That attention matters. The purpose of this petition has always been to demonstrate that there is significant community concern about the future of this site and to ensure those concerns reach the municipal and provincial decision-makers responsible for what happens next.
