Pepper spray legalised as self defence against attackers and tougher punishments

Pepper spray legalised as self defence against attackers and tougher punishments
The Issue
A year and a half ago, my daughter faced a terrifying incident where she was subjected to a gang attack by 3 adults when she was just 12 years of age, where she nearly lost her life, her case is still under investigation and currently with CPS, and I only pray that I get the justice my daughter so righteously deserves. This attack has had a massive impact on her mental health resulting in her not going to school because of her anxiety caused by the attack. I witnessed this attack and as a mother I felt so helpless not being able to protect my child as there was just so many there. My daughter was thrown to the ground and suffered a dislocated shoulder and clumps of her hair was pulled out, the most heartbreaking video evidence I had to watch with the police recorded by on lookers wile my daughter was laying helplessly on the ground with a woman pulling on her hair the son of the predator was kicking my daughter repeatedly across her body as she was laying there This has had a tremendous effect on my mental health and I suffer with flashbacks and nightmares of that dreadful day.
The emotional toll on our family has been immense, and it has highlighted the urgent need for increased safety measures within our community I want to campaign that it should be legalised to have pepper spray legal in our country, I strongly believe it will save a lot of lives. I have researched not only gang attacks but single attacks and so many people have innocently lost their lives or who has been seriously injured during an attack.
As a mother, I can't imagine the pain that families go through who, unfortunately are not so lucky and lose a loved one.
This harrowing experience has fuelled my determination to make this change in law, I believe that by raising awareness and advocating for practical changes, we will have a environment where such incidents are less likely to occur, and individuals feel safer in their daily lives, even so just walking home from a night out with their friends.
The urgency of this campaign is to prevent such traumatic events from recurring, immediate action is essential. By raising awareness, advocating for change, and implementing practical safety measures, we can work towards creating a community where individuals feel secure in their daily lives. Acting promptly is crucial to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone, preventing further instances of fear and anguish for families like mine.
TOUGHER PUNISHMENT
Stricter Punishments for someone taking someone life there is NO EXCUSE when you take A life they know full well what they are doing there is NO EXCUSE!
the law needs to change, these monsters are getting the charges dropped to attempted murder and manslaughter NO when you take someone life it is MURDER! And YOU ARE to spend the whole of your life in prison with very firm discipline.
I hereby petition for the implementation of stricter punishments for individuals convicted of murder. The alarming rise in killings in th UK demands immediate action to ensure justice for victims and their families, and to deter future acts of violence.
Whereas, murder is a heinous crime that inflicts irreparable harm on individuals and communities, and leaving families destroyed.
Whereas, lenient sentencing may fail to adequately punish offenders and deter potential perpetrators,
Whereas, justice demands accountability and deterrent measures to protect the safety and well-being of all citizens and children.
I the undersigned, call upon LIVES MATTER
Enact legislation that mandates harsher penalties for convicted murderers, including LIFE in prison.
When someone takes someone’s life, it is MURDER charges will not be dropped to manslaughter and attempted murder there is NO EXCUSE!
3. Allocate resources to support victims’ families, including access to counseling and legal assistance, to aid in the healing process and pursuit of justice for as long as they need. More support for these families are needed.
4. The murderer does not have the rights to take courses in prison and access any jobs, or regular contact with their relatives in prison because they have taken all rights away from the person they murdered.
I urge to prioritize public safety and the sanctity of human life by swiftly enacting these measures. Together, we can create a safer environment for our future generations. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Sincerely,
Polly worner
