Release One Ear back to the Onaqui Wild Mustang Herd!

The Issue

One Ear is a special stallion in the Onaqui Wild Mustang herd in Utah.  This stunning palomino is thought to be at least 18-19 years old and has been delighting observers for many years with his romantic pursuits and frequent stallion challenges. For many years he led a large family band and sired many foals. Unfortunately, during a particularly violent battle to keep his family he infamously lost his mares and his left ear. As an older bachelor stallion now he is often seen on the range courting mares and fighting younger stallions.  Sometimes he is the victor, sometimes not, but he fights with the same unconquerable spirit every time.

Unfortunately One Ear needs our help. The 2nd week of July 2021 the Bureau of Land Management in Utah removed 435 wild mustangs from the Onaqui Mountains area.  This highly controversial "gathering" had intended to remove 396 horses but on the final day of the helicopter roundup One Ear followed a mare into the trap, becoming one of the final stallions to be captured.

Currently One Ear is being held captive, at risk of being castrated and put up for adoption, never to run wild & free again.  He is considered by many to be a poor adoption candidate given his age and feistiness.   Please don't allow this indomitable spirit to spend the rest of his life in a small pen.   Join me in demanding his release as one of the mustangs brought back to the herd this summer.
