Understanding that irresponsible pet ownership is an epidemic that is taxing municipal services this shelter has a growing terrible reputation of being a death sentence for adoptable animals. Not behavior or health animals but healthy, well behaved animals. 4 puppies entered the shelter had so much interest from their post on the shelters site that operators were starting each call by saying "is this about the puppies" yet, while a bonafide 501c3 was in communication with the shelter staff organizing to rescue the puppies they were all 4 euthanized without cause or warning. This cannot happen. Staff cannot choose to work outside best practices and operating procedures without recourse. Leadership and policy makers must demand accountability. Investigate this one action and determine what took place and make immediate corrections.
