PetSmart is not providing the proper care for the animals they “sell” in their stores. They also do not provide the right food for their animals. They offer cages, food, and pamphlets with information that are all wrong for the animals. 

Everytime I go into PetSmart, I see guinea pigs without hay (80% of their diet), leopard geckos without a heat source, beta fish in containers too small, about 50 mice in one glass container, rats not getting the proper nutrients from food, and animals in cages too small/crowded.

PetSmart’s main goal is a quick sale and NOT the well being of the animals. All the information given out to customers is completely wrong, and their employees are not trained well enough to understand the true needs of the animals in their stores. PetSmart need to stop selling animals if they cannot properly take care of them. 

PetSmart needs to be investigated and should not be allowed to sell animals. If you are adopting an animal, please look into pet finder, shelters, and rescues to adopt your animal, not Petsmart.
