FROM PENSACON FACEBOOK PAGE "UPDATE: We still have no word on the dates we are requesting (and requested quite a while ago, despite what their official statement said) being opened up from the Pensacola Bay Center, but they and the county say they are working on the situation." So as you can see DESPITE what the official release from SMG says, this thing has still not been resolved. We need to keep maximum political pressure on the powers that be and SMG alike. Please call, write, e-mail, visit and voice your support to each of them on behalf of Pensacon and tell them the concerns that you have for 2017 Pensacon, and tell them what Pensacon means to you. Visit the local business and let them know we need them to support the cause as well. Only if we STAND UNITED, community and con-goers alike, with one voice, can we #SAVEPENSACON! These people below may say they have no power or control over the situation. But one Political Voice can do what a thousand of ours can. Let the Mayor know, his city's economic future is in the balance. He can support one of the largest economic events that Pensacola has ever scene and stand with us to #SAVEPENSACON. Or he can lose millions of nerd dollars that flow in to Pensacola yearly. We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to cosplay on! Pensacon will survive!
