Received this reply from County Commissioner DOUG UNDERHILL - I am so glad you enjoyed Pensacon...my two sons and I are self-avowed nerds and love Pensacon. My 15 year old was part of the orchestra playing the theme songs this year! Truly an epic part of life in Pensacola. On 2/4/16 Pensacon requested two dates in February '17. Other promotions had already put holds on those dates, as this industry is often booked well over a year in advance. However, Bay Center Staff has been working to clear those dates, and on Monday they did clear one of the desired dates. Bay Center Staff continues to work to try to clear the other date, but as of today Pensacon could book one of their desired weekends for 2017. Pensacon 2017 will not fail to happen because of a lack of availability at the Bay Center. Respectfully, Commissioner Doug Underhill I thank Mr. Underhill for his respectful reply and while this sounds great, Please Keep the Pressure On! Until we get Confirmed Dates Released Officially, #SavePensacon will fight to win!
