This case is significant to everyone in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware (3rd U.S. Court District)

The government has misused a law meant only for private citizens to arrest me. Recording government officials while conducting government business with or without their knowledge or consent is protected by the U.S. Constitution.

There is no significant case law in the 3rd U.S. Court District as there is in other districts. Those rulings have been significant in not only keeping government transparency, but have also led to bad cops being removed and convicted. This case will fill that need once the criminal case is dispatched and the civil case started, that is the goal here.

If it wasn’t for these significant district court rulings, we would have never known about the police murder of George Floyd as the police would have confiscated the video and it would never been seen by anyone.

Hiring a skilled lawyer who works in both criminal and civil rights is critical to the success of this in protecting citizens from corruption. That lawyer is expensive and beyond what I can afford.

With all the terrible news about bad cops doing bad things with impunity and then hiding behind Qualified Immunity, this case will chip away at that blanket protection and lead to changes in the law by allowing more exposure. Bad people despise bright lights.

So to protect yourself and the people you love, consider funding me as an insurance policy for yourself. You don’t need to provoke bad people to attack you, but you do need a way to protect yourself from them when they do.

This case involves me recording the mayor of my town and another government official. I record because I have a disability and the recording becomes my aid. They obviously didn’t care.

They charged me under a law that is meant only for private citizens recording other private citizens. That law needs to be redefined or removed in order to not violate the rights of citizens interacting with civil servants. Please help me to help you.

Please sign this petition if you feel that Pa TAXPAYER FUNDED public servants do not have an expectation of privacy whether in public or on the phone. Pennsylvania is a 2 party consent state but I feel the exemptions to the wiretapping law are very vague and arbitrary. Portions of the Pa Wiretap Law are extremely unconstitutional.
