We (senior teacher candidates from the Pennsylvania State University - Abington Campus) are calling on the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania State University, other PA universities, and any other stakeholder to establish a model that does not put teacher candidates' health at risk and allows us to work toward certification this school year. 

Since many PA districts are planning to utilize a full or hybrid remote learning model, the Pennsylvania Department of Education should change the pre-student teaching and student teaching requirements to allow online/remote student teaching to count toward credit for certification.
