Dr. William Gretzula has failed to execute his duties as Superintendent of Pennsbury School District in good faith and with good result:

Whereas Dr. Gretzula has demonstrated a lack of leadership in personnel management, resulting in multiple lawsuits against the Pennsbury School District with claims of gender and sexual orientation discrimination reviewed by Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) which has brought the image of the Pennsbury School District into disrepute. Whereas Dr. Gretzula has demonstrated a lack of leadership in operations and financial management, resulting in a federal investigation into activities at the Pennsbury School District, an ongoing investigation which has been confirmed by local law enforcement and for which a grand jury has been convened. Whereas Dr. Gretzula has demonstrated an inability to do the basic functions of his job responsibilities, resulting in the Pennsbury School District not being able to develop a school building re-opening plan to bring children back into the classroom. Every other school district in Bucks County has effectively drafted plans for re-opening, most having already instituted those plans with children back in the classroom.

On September 17, 2020, Dr. Gretzula announced his intentions to retire at the end of the 2020-2021 and offered his resignation with the intention to retire to the Pennsbury School District Board of Education. Since the date of this announcement, his performance in his role as Superintendent has clearly worsened, his management decisions have been inconsistent with expectations and his public communications to the community have lacked the ethics and honesty expected within the job role.

We, the undersigned concerned residents and taxpayers of the Pennsbury School District, hold that Dr. William Gretzula is failing our community as the leader of our education system. It has become abundantly clear that the Administration he oversees has become paralyzed and unable to properly operate with Dr. Gretzula’s continued presence. We demand that the Pennsbury Board of Education review Dr. Gretzula' current employment status and that his resignation be accepted effective immediately with full pay and benefits provided through June 2021.

We request this matter be heard and voted upon at the upcoming Special Meeting to be held October 21st prior to any other business matters being heard given that Gretzula’s recent performance have had negative influence on all matters that will be reviewed by the School Board.
