Give Penn State Class of 2020 a Real Graduation Ceremony - No Virtual Ceremony!

Give Penn State Class of 2020 a Real Graduation Ceremony - No Virtual Ceremony!
The Issue
**Update: Penn State has been made aware of this petition. Still no word on an in-person graduation.
As of 4:11 pm Monday, April 6th, Penn State has decided to hold virtual graduation on May 9th.
This is heartbreaking news for the class of 2020 who have already lost the end of their senior year. They have been robbed of their last moments at Penn State already due to the coronavirus and were looking forward to at least getting closure as they walked across the stage on graduation day, a day they have looked forward to for the last 4 years.
I think everyone can agree that graduation does not feel the same on a computer screen and I think we are all surprised that Penn State isn't making this a priority like other schools who have decided to simply postpone until they are able to hold an in-person graduation.
Let the Class of 2020 feel that special Penn State Magic. They have worked so hard for this day of celebration. Give them an in-person graduation. (when safe to do so - even if this means waiting months or until next year)
Eric J Barron - Read our concerns, complaints, and most importantly our suggestions on how to right this wrong.
**This is for all Penn State campuses not holding an in-person graduation.
**Note: PSU has mentioned they have plans for in-person "celebration" but no word on an official in-person graduation where students are able to walk across the stage and receive their diploma. Students continue to express their disappointment in this plan and urge PSU to create an official in-person graduation.
**Update: This Petition has been covered by numerous news reporters. Hopefully, this helps to spread the word.
