Here is the letter that I am sending to the judge in the Belk case. Your Honor, Please accept this petition, that was originally sent to the Pekin, IL police department, asking that Cora Belk be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We ask that she be given the maximum sentence of one year in jail or a mental institution, should she be found guilty. Ms. Belk acted with cold indifference to the life and well-being of the animals in her care. She showed no remorse for their deaths, when questioned on national television. These animals most likely died in a very slow and painful manner. For these reasons, Ms. Belk should do the maximum sentence in jail, or in a mental health care facility. Sincerely, Sharon, et.al.
