This article talks about the challenges the Pekin, IL police face prosecuting this case with little or no physical evidence. All the carcasses of the neglected animals were taken away in September 2015, before the police had any knowledge of the alleged abuse. Code Enforcement Officer Ron Sieh has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. Sieh was on site during the Hoarders clean-up, but never notified police that there were dead animals in the house.
