I am loving season 1 of Sanditon. I am a viewer in the United States and we all love a good costume period drama. From what I have heard from viewers in the UK about the season finale is that it ends in a rather unhappy cliffhanger and that ITV has determined that there were not enough viewers in the UK to warrant making a season 2. Jane Austen always made sure that her characters had a happy ending. Her novels were an escape from everyday life as are the period dramas that we watch today. Jane Austen would never have approved of this ending. It is up to the U.S viewers who are loving and watching the show to stand with the U.K. viewers and demand a second season.

We have a series of requests that viewers would like for Season 2.

1. First and foremost is that Sidney and Charlotte get a happy ending

2. We need to see more of Lord Babbington and Lady Esther

3. Ms. Campion should be removed from Sidney's life

4. Miss Lamb needs a more central story

5. Mr. Stringer finds happiness and prosperity

7. Edward needs to be removed from the story line 

8. More Mr. Crowe (he was hilarious)

9. We would like to see Sanditon thriving
