So, apparently the rumors generated by Rotten Tomatoes are true. Not only are the Season 14 titles listed on the site official, but Canadian actor, voice actor, comedian, and impressionist Ron Pardo is officially succeeding the late Gilbert Gottfried as Digit.

I took a gander in full at the new two-parter, "Weather or Not", which was where Digit apparently had more lines compared to the other two new episodes. As I listened to Pardo's portrayal closely, I noted that while it wasn't 100% perfect, he still brilliantly succeeded the late Gilbert Gottfried. It particularly sounded as though he made the character his own while giving the impression that Gottfried was still in the building!

My only hope is that, in future episodes, the voice directing could be improved and modified. Since Season 11, the vocal performances often sounded incredibly slow or lacking in energy & inspiration, which openly caused things to feel less engaging than before. If the show team can take the time to fix this problem, especially for when they decide to eventually conclude the program, I believe that it would give Pardo the chance to really make an impression and prove himself.
