There is some good news to report today.  Sally has been granted a tribunal hearing so that she can state her case directly in the hope of gaining the Widows Pension.  Of course this alone won't change the law, even if she is successful.  What we really need is a change to the Welfare Act which will benefit thousands of other people in the same position as Sally - hard working and caring but struggling to earn a living.  Her only crime was not to marry the man she loved and cared for for 41 years.
