Kia or e te whānau,
It has been just two weeks since we launched our student-led campaign to achieve equity for nursing students in hopes to recruit, retain, and sustain our nursing workforce. What we have heard from you, our supporters, in this time through your comments and personal stories has been incredibly moving and further motivating to our cause. Because of YOU, the campaign has continued to grow to nearly 10,500 at the time of this post. THANK YOU! Your voices are being heard!
In fact, just yesterday, 1News aired a great article bringing awareness to our campaign and successfully bringing NCNZ into the conversation. Here is a link to that article in case you missed it: https://www.1news.co.nz/2022/07/05/thousands-sign-petition-to-pay-student-nurses-as-they-learn/
The writing is on the wall... Status quo endangers the well-being of our nursing students, our nursing workforce, and our population. Together, we can enact change, and set the stage for a better nursing future. THANK YOU.
If you have time today, can you share this petition with even just one person? The power of change resides in you!
Our warmest regards,
Arya Zale, with Shiv Chawla, and the numerous nursing students from our cohort and across NZ who are grateful for your support x
