Even though Toronto City Council has voted to approve the zoning amendment for the proposed shelter at 2204–2212 Eglinton Avenue West and 601 Caledonia Road, our fight is far from over.
We successfully had two of our community motions adopted:
A requirement for proper parking/loading stations and landscaping buffers
A requirement for a comprehensive environmental review and remediation plan
These victories mean we now have more influence and oversight on the project’s details — and we intend to use it.
We are actively exploring all legal and strategic options moving forward. To help support this effort, we are raising funds for a community legal fund. If you would like to contribute, even a small donation makes a difference:

We are also planning a Town Hall Meeting in September to share updates and next steps. Details will be announced soon — stay tuned.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, we will continue to fight for responsible, balanced development in our community.
