We got the hearing. Now let's finish this.

I want to start with two words: thank you.
Because you signed this petition, because you told your neighbors, because you showed up, we now have over 10,000 signatures and a public hearing on a data center moratorium scheduled for this Tuesday, August 18.
That's not nothing. That's the direct result of thousands of Calvert County residents refusing to stay quiet.
But this is a process, not a single moment. A hearing means the Commissioners will hear from us before they vote, and however Tuesday goes, the strength of what they hear matters. The more voices behind this, the harder it is to ignore what this community wants.
Here's how you can help one more time before Tuesday:
Share this, and help us drive up signatures right now. Forward this email. Post about it. Tell one more neighbor to sign. We want that number as high as possible walking into Tuesday, because every new signature between now and then is one more voice the Commissioners can't ignore. If you haven't already, share the petition link with anyone who hasn't signed yet: https://www.change.org/calvertdatacenter
Come to the rally. 9:30 AM, outside the Calvert County Administration Building, 150 Main Street, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
Pack the hearing. 10:30 AM, same building, Chesapeake Hearing Room. Want to testify? Reply to this email and I'll send you a testimony guide with talking points.
Can't make it in person? Submit written comment to the commission by 4:30 PM Monday, August 17, to PZ@calvertcountymd.gov.
We started this with a petition. Let's finish it with a signature count that keeps climbing, an inbox full of comments, and a room full of people on Tuesday.
See you there.
One conversation at a time,
Melissa
