Hi all, We've reached 7,347 signatures. Thank you. Since the Board of County Commissioners voted against a moratorium, more than 1,000 additional Calvert County residents have signed this petition. One thousand local residents in a single week. That is not apathy. That is a community paying attention and asking to be heard. Would you help us keep the momentum going? We have a BOCC meeting tomorrow at 10 AM, and I would love to be able to tell them we've reached 7,500 signatures. Sharing with friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, church members, community groups, and local organizations makes a tremendous difference. Every conversation matters. I've attached a screenshot from a recent interview with the President of the Board of County Commissioners. I have to admit, the optics are difficult for me to ignore. Watching a pro-data-center interview filmed against a stunning Chesapeake Bay waterfront backdrop while residents, scientists, and the Environmental Commission have been asking for more time, more study, and more public input is a contrast that speaks for itself. At its core, this petition has never been about stopping a conversation. It's about slowing down long enough to make informed decisions based on science, data, and community input.
