Petition Update: Join Us at Royal Victoria Park This Sunday! 🌳🚲
Sunday 25 October | 10am | By the Duck Pond
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has signed, shared and supported our petition calling on Bath & North East Somerset Council to pause and reconsider the proposed cycle lane through Royal Victoria Park.
The response from the community has been fantastic, and it’s clear that many people have genuine concerns about the impact of this scheme on our much-loved park.
Now we’d love you to join us in person.
We’re meeting at Royal Victoria Park this Sunday at 10am, by the duck pond, to bring people together and demonstrate just how much this issue matters to our community.
Our message is simple: PAUSE. LISTEN. RECONSIDER.
This isn’t about being anti-cycling. Many of us are cyclists ourselves. It’s about ensuring that decisions affecting our public spaces are properly considered, that residents’ concerns are heard, and that the Council is open to reconsidering its approach.
We want to see a scheme that genuinely works for everyone — pedestrians, cyclists, families, motorists and those who simply enjoy the park.
Everyone is welcome. Whether you’ve signed the petition, have concerns about the proposals or simply want to find out more, please come along.
We ask everyone attending to be kind, peaceful and respectful. This is about bringing our community together and making our voices heard constructively.
Please keep sharing the petition and encourage friends, neighbours and family to join us.
