I understand the painful reality of homelessness because I have lived it. The biting cold, the hunger, the uncertainty  they are not mere statistics but personal memories to me. It's time we address this growing crisis in the United Kingdom. As of 2024, there are projected to be over 320,000 homeless people in the UK (Shelter, 2020 Report). Despite the critical situation, we continue to accept both legal and illegal immigrants, increasing the burden on our finite resources.

We are not against immigration. It has historically made significant contributions to our culture and economy. However, it's time we prioritize the wellbeing of the people already living within our borders.

We urge the UK government to pause immigration until we have credible and sustainable policies in place to address homelessness. Let's ensure everyone in the UK has a safe place to call home before we consider welcoming more individuals. Together, we can alleviate this crisis. Please sign this petition to join our plea.
