Sometime in May our Stop and Shop supermarket will be closing!   The current landlord will not renew their lease!  This will be an extreme hardship on all of the residents in our area, especially those who do not drive!

The elderly and disabled will surely suffer this loss.  This is the only walking distance supermarket in our area.  We do not have any markets close by.   Best Market in Great Neck has also closed. 

I have lived in this area for over 17 years and have always found this supermarket to be well stocked and the managers and cashiers to be helpful and pleasant! Not to mention the loss of jobs this closure will affect.   We must try our best to keep this market open. Hopefully the landlord will reconsider and the residents will halt the closure of this market!
