For those of you who are new to this fight or maybe just unaware, the AVN has been around for a long time. It is the conscientious objection option lobbied for and negotiated by the AVN 20 years ago that no jab no pay, no jab no play seeks to remove! In doing so the government has awakened an angry beast that is every free thinking and independent parent in Australia.
Membership is just $25 a year and brings several benefits.
As the only significant and coordinated vaccine choice group in Australia, every member is an extra voice. Every member is an extra voter. Every member is an extra reason for the government to take notice. With thousands of members the AVN has been delivering so much. With tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands, how much could be achieved?! Think about the trade unions and how the CFMEU uses its member numbers to shape government policy. The AVN is our union. Our combined voice.
What do the AVN do with your money? Well, they have several officers working near full time on a completely voluntary basis. These include current president Tasha Dāvid and past president and founder Meryl Dory. Working for free is all well and good but in order to commit to lobbying and information share Australiawide, there are transport costs. There are also costs associated with delivering epic awareness events such as the recent VAXXED tour!
