PROBLEMS ARE STILL OCCURRING WITH THIS SYSTEM - 5 MONTHS IN!

On 29/3/19 my FOI (Freedom of Information) request, asking for disclosure of the full text of their contract with ParkingEye was logged by ULHT. There is a precedent for this as a similar request was granted by South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust in 2017.

FOI request must be responded to within 20 working days. Despite numerous reminders and update requests nothing has been received to date. 

On 5/5/19 I emailed Jan Sobieraj (CEO ULHT) and Elaine Baylis (Chair ULHT) and explained the lack of response, asking for their help in progressing this matter. 

If I haven’t heard anything by 15/5/19 my next step will be to take the matter to the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office). 

My reasons for pursuing this are that I am still not convinced that the contract is in the best interests of ULHT patients, staff and visitors. ParkingEye seem to be incentivised to issue PCNs, as it’s their only source of income from the contract, as I understand it.
