The Issue

Dear Marion P. Houston, Executor of The Estate of late international music icon Whitney E. Houston,

Fans from all over the world have been inspired by the talent, beauty and great humanitarian work displayed by Whitney. In the course of her remarkable career, she has broken down barriers, entertained the world and left a huge mark in the music world and popular culture.

We are very sad to see, that items reminding the world of the legacy of the most awarded artist of all time, are being auctioned off by you through Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills on the 24th & 25th of June 2016. As can be seen HERE, these items include various of Whitney's most important awards (including an Emmy Award, various American Music Awards), Multiplatinum and Diamond Certifications for Whitney's studio albums and movie soundtracks, aswell as stage gowns and clothing items from some of her most memorable performances, just to name a few.

We as a fanbase do think that these items should rather be displayed in an appropriate and deserving fashion due to their historic value. This could include places like The Grammy Museum, The National Museum for American History, or various other reputable places that are capable of exhibiting the said items of a musical legend. We ask you to not auction off these pieces of historic and cultural value, in order to help keep Whitney's legacy alive.

Sincerely,

Whitney's fans from all over the world.
