Pass the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act
The Issue
The Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act (HR 2178), will waive the several-months waiting period for patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer to receive Social Security Disability Insurance benefits and Medicare benefits. Due to the aggressive nature of this disease, waiting several months can be a matter of life and death. Getting social security disability insurance is the first step towards getting on Medicare which is sometimes the only way cancer patients can get the proper testing and treatment they need. When we get enough signatures on this petition, the Anne V. Graziani Fund will write letters to Congress to support this bill. The more people who sign this petition, the more our senators and representatives will listen to us. Please share this petition on social media.

This petition was started by Robert Graziani, the president of the Anne V. Graziani Fund. It's a charity which takes patients who are undergoing cancer treatment to shows and sporting events. We here at the Anne V. Graziani Fund believe that bringing entertainment and joy to cancer patients and their families is a vital part of the road to recovery and gives peace to those who desperately need it. The fund is named for Robert's mother Anne who lived with cancer and polio for many years. From a wheelchair she worked full time, raised a child she adopted from India, volunteered for charities and even cared after her own husband who died of cancer. Anne would be extremely proud of the work the Fund is doing to bring happiness to the lives of people living with cancer.
