As I continue to advocate for the Extreme Risk Protection Order/Red Flag Law in Wisconsin, I remain committed to educating communities about the law's potential to save lives, building a coalition of supporters including lawmakers, communities and organizations, and pushing for legislative action to enact this critical legislation. Unfortunately, it appears that momentum has stalled due to the upcoming election, with lawmakers hesitant to tackle contentious issues. Fueled by the devastating loss of my son Henry, who was tragically taken from me by his father in his sleep, I won't give up. This senseless act of violence could have been prevented if Wisconsin had an Extreme Risk Protection Order/Red Flag Law in place, allowing family members and law enforcement to temporarily remove firearms from individuals in crisis. Every voice matters, and together we can reduce gun violence, protect vulnerable individuals and communities, and create a safer Wisconsin for all. I'm driven by memories of Henry's beautiful smile, his laughter, and the countless moments we'll never share. Join me in this fight by sharing Henry’s story to raise awareness.
