Now is the moment we can save innocent lives. Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children in America. This is a statistic that makes my heart ache, and it’s a driving force for me as to why I must keep moving forward in my work to end gun violence and domestic abuse. No child should go to one parent’s home on a scheduled visit with the fear of what they might experience on that visit. We need laws in place to protect those that fear they may be harmed. We need Extreme Risk Protection Order laws - Red Flag Law not only in Wisconsin but in every state that doesn’t have one.  Today is Valentine's Day and a reminder to all that "love has many definitions, but abuse isn't one of them."
