When I rescued Pony years ago, she was thin, neglected, and struggling. Over time she blossomed into a happy, sassy little pony with a big personality. She loved attention, loved treats, and always seemed to know when someone needed comfort.
What happened to Pony on May 11, 2026, changed my life forever. She suffered fatal injuries after a stallion gained access to her. No horse owner should ever receive the phone call that their beloved companion has been found in dead with the stallion horse, standing over her tiny dead body.
I share Pony's story because I don't want her life to be reduced to the way it ended. She was loved. She mattered. She brought joy to children, comfort to me, and helped me through some of the hardest years of my life after losing my husband.
