Update – March 26, 2026
Dear supporters,
Thank you for your continued support of the #fourlittlefeet petition to end social isolation for disabled people.
I have refocused and updated the petition decision makers to more accurately target the responsible officials at both the federal and provincial levels of government.
The petition is now formally addressed to the following decision makers:
• The Honourable Patty Hajdu, P.C., M.P.
Minister of Jobs and Families (Federal Government) – responsible for national disability inclusion, accessibility, and related social policy.
• The Honourable Sheila Malcolmson, MLA
Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, Province of British Columbia – responsible for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) rates and disability assistance programs.
• The Honourable Jessie Sunner, MLA
Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills and MLA for Surrey-Newton – our local provincial representative.
This dual focus ensures the petition reaches both the federal government (for national standards and inclusion) and the provincial government (for direct income support and PWD policy in British Columbia).
By directing our call for change to the correct decision makers, we strengthen the message that ending social isolation for disabled individuals requires coordinated action across government levels.
Your signatures and shares remain vital. Please continue to share the petition widely so we can build greater awareness and pressure for meaningful reform.
Together, we can advocate for better protections, reduced isolation, and improved well-being for disabled people and their families.
With gratitude,
Jasminder Bangar
