Maya’s Pharmacy Adventures — A Beautiful Connection Through Hudson’s Journey
I’ve spoken a lot about Hudson’s case and the upsetting side of it, but one beautiful positive that came from this was Dr Renly 🩷
By absolute chance, I stumbled across her book at a time when Hudson had so many questions about the changes in his body.. particularly why “his body was feeling so angry.” Maya’s Pharmacy Adventures helped us create a narrative for Hudson around what medicine is, what a chemist does, and the importance of medication safety. It also helped us begin the conversation with him about the catastrophic error he was subjected to.
I found Renly on social media and messaged her to let her know the impact her book had on Hudson. Since that day, she has become one of Hudson’s biggest advocates. Hudson’s story has deeply impacted her, just as her book has impacted him 🩵
