🕊️ Update: Justice for Baby Emmanuel — Sentencing Day
Today, November 3, 2025, in Riverside County Superior Court, Jake Haro was sentenced to 25 years to life for the murder of his 7-month-old son, Emmanuel.
It’s been heartbreak, silence, and waiting — but today, Emmanuel’s name was finally spoken in court. The judge’s words marked the end of one chapter, but not the end of this fight.
Because justice in one courtroom doesn’t fix a system that ignored warning after warning. It doesn’t erase the pain of the families who begged for help. And it doesn’t bring back the little boy whose life should have been protected.
Prosecutors admitted what we’ve known all along — that the system failed Emmanuel. Prior abuse reports were dismissed. Opportunities to act were missed. His death was preventable.
But out of that failure comes purpose.
Out of grief comes a law — Emmanuel’s Law — written for every child who still needs to be heard and every victim who never got the chance to speak.
To everyone who has signed, shared, and stood with us: thank you.
You have turned heartbreak into movement.
You have made sure Emmanuel’s name lives on in change.
Let’s keep going — for Emmanuel, and for every child still waiting to be protected.
