Emmanuel’s Law is a call for change so no other child has to suffer like Emmanuel did. This law would: • 🚫 Ban custody or visitation rights for any parent or guardian convicted of child abuse or child sexual abuse. • 🛑 Prevent reunification of children with known, repeat, or high-risk abusers, regardless of “time served.” • ✅ Require stricter background checks before children are returned to homes after CPS involvement. • 👩‍⚖️ Hold CPS and state agencies accountable for failing to protect children when warning signs are ignored. • 🕊️ Put the safety of children first above “parental rights” in cases involving abuse or neglect. 💔 Emmanuel’s story is not the first, but we must fight to make sure it’s the last.
