My son, Basil Davis, has been incarcerated for over 4 years for a 11 to 23 month sentence, plus a 6 month hit for parole violation (misdemeanor) Why did he receive another year hit, when he’s been misconduct free since 2016 with no infractions. The Ruling is unjust, inequality, harsh and The Parole Board isn’t taking into consideration his positive conduct while being detained over the last several years! By detaining him, this adds to the number of mass incarceration. The Prison System is already overpopulated by inmates who were unjustly sentenced! Mr. Davis is no threat to the community. Basil will be gainfully employed upon release with other re-entry programs, that will enable him to continue on the right path to becoming a productive, self-sufficient member of society!!!
