Work being done

Hello,  Thanks to every one who has come in during the last week or two and helped revive this petition with signatures and shares. If you want to get involved beyond signing and sharing, you can email me at burggraaferik@gmail.com.  Here's a look at what's going on behind the scenes and other ways you can help.

I started this four days after my second daughter was born.  Then every one in my house caught the gastro bug.  So, it's taken a while to start growing, but It is really gratifying to see the momentum start to build.

I've contacted two independent beer media outlets.  one does not want to be political.  The other is not really a good fit.  I'm still working with others to set something up.  Please reach out if you know of podcasts or youtube channels or other places that might want to cover us.

I also have a list of home brewing clubs and have been systematically reaching out.  I haven't gotten any responses so far.  Not sure whether this is due to lack of interest or my own terrible social media skills or the fact that home brewers just don't spend hours a day on facebook, even with their own groups.  :-)  I'm looking at this as a long term effort.

I'm also hoping to get producers involved to use their platforms to spread the word.  I called the Ontario Craft Brewer's Association a few times, but they haven't returned my voicemail yet.  I'll keep working on them until I get a response, even if that turns out to be a no.  If you know of a brewery or winery who would like to help advertise for us, please reach out.

I also chipped in some cash to change.org so they would do some promotion for us.  I don't expect any one else to spend money on this, but it's my project, and I wanted to see how effective it would be.  If you did fork over any cash during the signing process as they inevitably want you to do, thank you very much.

Please use your sharing link from the petition page to spread the word so that change.org will log the shares.  If you know people who might be interested, please reach out to them directly.  That get's people's attention much better than regular social media blasts.
