I want young children and adolescents to be able to have access to puberty blockers under the age of 16. Young trans and non-binary people in the UK are unable to prevent the effects of puberty without getting puberty blockers. Puberty blockers do not (as far as my knowledge) have any ill effects later in life in case someone chooses to stop taking puberty blockers, and if the young person wishes, it is safe to come off of puberty blockers at any time.

The age restriction of puberty blockers is pointless because by the time that kids are 16 they most likely are already a few years into or finished puberty. Taking puberty blockers at this point in time will likely not prevent any critical changes anymore and will therefore not help the kid.

Puberty blockers are vital for young trans and non-binary people as it will prevent unwanted and critical changes to the individual’s body.
