Paragrafo riguardante gli ELEFANTI, “non può essere ammessa la detenzione di un SINGOLO ANIMALE…” riferendosi agli elefanti.
“Devono essere disponibili zone ombreggiate per il riposo…terreno naturale con sabbia, erba o altri materiali naturali…possibilità di fare bagni d’acqua e giocare con i rami…gli animali devono essere annaffiati con acqua, IN MANIERA PARTICOLARE NELLE GIORNATE PIÙ CALDE…devono avere la possibilità di fare bagni di sabbia…”.
Andra è l’unico elefante del circo Rolando Orfei.
Nel Settembre 2020 durante una visita allo zoo mattutino è stata trovata all’interno di un terreno senza un riparo dal sole cocente e senza acqua. Nel terreno non era presente sabbia, erba o altri materiali naturali, non aveva possibilità di fare bagni.
Andra ha subito violenze fisiche durante gli anni dell’addestramento.
Ora è anziana, il suo corpo è stanco ed è malata: la seconda volta che si è sentita male l’hanno lasciata appesa a delle corde perché non riuscivano a tirarla su nemmeno con una gru.
Andra ha bisogno di essere trasferita in un luogo più idoneo dove poter passare il resto della sua vecchiaia senza spettacoli, senza continui spostamenti, senza luci e musiche assordanti, senza botte.

"Shaded areas must be available for resting...natural soil with sand, grass or other natural materials...possibility of bathing in water and playing with the branches...animals must be watered, PARTICULARLY ON THE HOTTEST DAYS...they must have the opportunity to take sand baths…”.
Andra is the only elephant at the Rolando Orfei circus.
In September 2020, Andra was situated inside a land enclosed by a rope, subjected to the direct late summer sun without water and without a shady bed to shelter her from the heat. It is important to note that pachyderms, despite their thick skin, need to continually cool their epidermis with water and mud to keep the skin hydrated, something that Andra lacked and that she tried to make up for by throwing dry earth and wood fragments on her.
Andra suffered physical violence during the years she has been trained.
She is now elderly, her body is tired and sick: the second time she felt ill they left her hanging on ropes because they could not even pull her up with a crane.
Andra needs to be transferred to a more suitable place where she can spend the rest of her old age without shows, without constantly being moved from place to place, without deafening music, without being beaten.
