Wow! Our petition has made it through 200 signatures and is still running on strongly. Thank you so much for showing your support and speaking up against the parkrun global charity's dog-eared decision to appoint former Sun editor David Dinsmore as a trustee. We think it's barking mad.

As the news spreads more and more ordinary runners up and down the country will be questioning whether their values are really reflected in parkrun, and heroic local organizing teams and event directors are coming under intolerable pressure to balance their own consciences whilst struggling to fill volunteer rosters.

The good news is that parkrunUK at senior operational level has heard what's going on and conversations are taking place. Whether the decision makers at the top of the tree will choose to listen and understand the consequences of failing to right this wrong is up to them. Your signatures and messages play an important part in getting the message across, so please do share the facts with your friends and encourage them to do likewise.
