In an age of increasing digital interactions, it is becoming more difficult to find venues where people can gather and interact face-to-face. The chess players that frequent Park Royal have enjoyed this special privilege to meet other players and inspire future generations of chess players. We the undersigned would like to thank the management team of Park Royal for providing this outstanding contribution to the Vancouver Community for so many years. We are aware that this community of chess players provide little monetary value for the mall, but we also believe that they provide a priceless opportunity to build a strong sense of community. We would like Park Royal Management to reconsider their decision to no longer allow the chess community to meet in such an accessible and convenient location.
